There was a time when I didn’t notice I was overwhelmed until the day was already gone.
Everything felt urgent.
I rushed through conversations.
I clicked between tabs.
I started five things and finished none.
Then I blamed myself for another “bad day.”
Now I notice sooner.
Not perfectly.
Just sooner.
Sometimes it’s the way my shoulders tighten.
Sometimes it’s how fast I start thinking.
Sometimes it’s simply the feeling that I have to solve everything right now.
That’s my cue.
Not to fix my life.
Just to pause.
The earlier I notice, the less I have to recover from.
Maybe awareness isn’t about preventing hard days.
Maybe it’s about shortening the distance back to yourself.
Today’s gentle thought
Recovery often begins with one simple sentence:
“I think I’m getting overwhelmed.”
